Diagnostic
I am so glad that you have made the decision to schedule a reading diagnostic assessment for your child. As a reading educator, I believe it is important to gain a comprehensive understanding of your child's current reading abilities in order to provide targeted and effective support.
The reading diagnostic assessment is a valuable tool that will help me assess your child's strengths and areas for improvement in various reading skills. This assessment will provide insights into their phonemic awareness, phonics skills, decoding and encoding abilities, and language comprehension. The results will guide the development of a personalized tutoring plan that addresses their specific needs.
The assessment will be conducted remotely using Zoom. Detailed instructions on how to access and complete the assessment will be provided closer to the scheduled date.
Once we have completed the assessment, we can schedule a follow-up meeting to discuss the results in detail and outline the next steps for your child's reading development. In addition, you will receive a written, detailed copy of the results.
The assessment is $100 and will take approximately 90 minutes to complete. That time will be based solely on your child and may have to occur in two sessions. In that event, there will be no additional fees in completing the diagnostic.
